Indian street food - Yummy! - For a long time I refused to go into Urban Turban, simply because I hated the name. One evening, I ended up dining at Rasoi, a Michelin star restaurant in Chelsea and realised that the chef also had a sister, cheaper restaurant which was Urban Turban.

I put aside my fear and went in to eat. And I'm damned glad that I did. It is yummy tapas style (think Imli, but way better). Must haves include the chili chicken, the lamb chops and the fried asparagus.

There is also a bar downstairs where you can have a nice cocktail.

Funky and Yummy - As I am not english I don't get quite as excited about a curry as seems to be the way with most, but I loved Urban Turban as it has a philosophy of Indian Tapas which meant that although there were only 2 of us I got to taste 7 different dishes (no food envy that way). The food was delicious, we had gun powerder prawns, scollops, lamb simosas and a very yummy marsala lamb to name a few. The service was also great, I only noticed so I could write a review, because they were just there when I needed them and not when I didn't.

The atmosphere is quite dark and trendy. Hopefully this one is here to stay as there have been so many restaurants in this location.

It wasnt the cheapest meal (£90 for 2) but it was worth it. 27-05-08
