do not use Elias Dry Cleaners - To whom it may concern,
I thought I should make you aware of an experience I had with Elias Dry Cleaners in South Kensington in case you refer your client's there.
I dropped my wedding dress into Elias Dry Cleanings on the 27th March 2010. When the dress was ready 1 month later I went in to collect the dress and was astonished to see that the marks on the hem had not been removed. Elias Dry Cleaners told me they would reclean the dress but that I would need to fill in a form exempting them from any liability for damage. I refused to sign this form and they told me they would go ahead and clean the dress again.
When I went to collect the dress for a second time it was clear that they had not done anything further to remove the marks on the hem, and furthermore there was a new mark near the bodice. By this stage I was quite upset and asked that the dress be cleaned a third time.
Finally I went in to the store on the 19th June 2010 to collect the dress. I inspected the dress and noted that the marks on the hem of the dress were still clearly visible. Furthermore, there was a blue pen mark about 2 cm long at the train. This was another new mark that had happened whilst in the care of Elias Dry Cleaners. By this stage I so really upset and appalled and just wanted my wedding dress back so I ended up giving them half of the money £100 from the initial charge of £195. I am now in a position where I will need to take my dress to another dry cleaner to see whether they can remove the blue pen mark and original stains at hem. The experience has left me feeling very sad.
I felt that I should let you know about my experience with Elias Dry Cleaners and wondered whether any other customers had reported problems with their service?
I strongly recommend you do not use Elias Dry Cleaners.
