Very poor, never go there!!!! - I had 2 new tyres fitted in July 2010 by Big City Tyres. I asked the man to remove the front tyres and put them on the back and put the new tyres on the front.
However, when I returned to collect the car 45 minutes later I was told there was a problem with my locking wheel nut. The car had been in for a service at Kwik Fit the day before and I mentioned this when I took the car in. The man explained that Kwik Fit had only put 3 locking wheel nuts back on and that he had to put a temporary wheel nut in to make the car safe and the tool to get the wheel nut off was missing. They advised me to complain to Kwik Fit and said that they should never have let me drive away as the vehicle was not safe to drive.
The following day I took the car into Kwik Fit to complain. They had a look at the wheel and the missing part had been forced on the wheel over the wheel nut so there wasn't even a wheel nut missing. There is no way this could have been done by Kwik Fit as Big City Tyres wouldn't have been able to get the wheel off in the first place and move it from the front to the back if the part was missing. I left Kwik Fit feeling really stupid and embarrassed thanks to Big City Tyres.
A few weeks later I was driving along and one of the front tyres seemed to be making a really loud noise. This got louder and louder, I managed to get home and called the RAC. The RAC came out and jacked the car up. He asked if I'd had any new tyres put on recently as the wheel was hanging off. This was again the result of the work on another wheel carried out by Big City Tyres. The RAC man took the front cover off the wheel and one of the locking wheel nuts fell off on to the floor. The others on this wheel were really loose, luckily I hadn't had an accident but this was really dangerous as the wheel would have fell off causing me to have an accident if I'd driven any more. The RAC man checked all the other wheels for me, most were ok but one other was loose.
There is no point me even complaining to Big City Tyres as they have some small print on their invoices to cover themselves saying that all wheel nuts should be checked after 25 miles of driving after a wheel change.
I will never return to Big City Tyres again and would certainly not recommend it to anyone.
