Surrey's worst letting agent award - Arrogant., including the staff and management/partner/owner. They act and pitch themselves as superior - a cut above all other agents in Guildford - yet treat customers landlords, tenants and even sellers with utter contempt. Expect no service and a lot of pressure to use their cleaners, gardeners and tradesmen. If you don't have them manage your property - and i would'nt dream of it now i've seen them in action - expect to hear ".... If we don't manage..." as the excuse for everything.
I doubt they vet the applicants properly by my definition of properly which would include meeting them in person and any pets they propose to have in your house. After a tenant they found backed out at the last minute my house was empty for three months. The agent complained to me there were weeds in the garden which was left perfect for the tenant supposed to be moving in. That's about all i heard from them in the intervening time. They persuaded me to accept dogs after i was clear i wanted no pets saying they'd get more applicants. They put a couple in my house with two huge dogs who wrecked the lawns and carpets and Seymours had the audacity to complain to me that my house smelled of dogs when they went to do a further viewing. They don't answer and ignore questions/emails, do the absolute minimum, charge excessively, make successive mistakes which are always someone else's fault, take no responsibility or accountability for their poor performance nor that of their subcontractors, create volumes of unnecessary repetiitive, duplicated, timewasting administration paperwork in email and hard copy by post and are dismissive and cavalier if you dare to complain.
Avoid them.
