really great Blues! - Yes, I made it on a Monday night too! And it was fantastic! I was so happy to find what a classic Blues bar would be, right at the West end of Soho. We stood in line for about 20 mins, but once in it was great. There were waves of when it would be quite full, but otherwise it was comfortable. Not the cheapest place, but I guess its Soho after all (8pounds for a vodka cran and a beer bottle) and plus there is no cover charge! The music was great, though, we were dancing a lot. There were friendly people there. Another this is that the music starts early and goes on till late. And if you don't feel like waiting in the line to get in, there is a video projection on the wall outside of the band playing! I definitely recommend this spot: for the great music, free entry, and right blues bar feel. Unique for West End/Carnaby Street area.

the monday blues - Classy place indeed, they have a different lineup every night, but I have only got in on a Monday. The Monday lineup includes a few legends that have a little jam together.
man oh man they were good. okay so I wouldnt say im the best blues critic and probably somewhat rhythmically challenged, and maybe it was just the night i went on, but these guys were partly god. They were genius, pure melodic genius!
i have tried to get in on a Friday and the queue was so ridulously long i couldnt wait any longer. It's obviously no secret how mental these musicians are...
