Avoid like the plague - Three words to describe Pickerings:
1. Hopeless
2. Untrustworthy
3. Thieves
...and that's just three.
They come across like a professional organisation but beware - they are nothing but con merchants.
We signed up for a place and moved in - lovely house, don't get me wrong, but the managing of the property with woeful. Problems such as being locked out of our rooms, random letters saying we were to be fined for not keeping our immaculate house clean, unarranged viewings (a breach of contract on their part) and worst of all, ripping us off.
We left the property in a better state then when we moved in yet low and behold, they decided to take a large chunk of our deposits claiming they had to hire a cleaning company to clean the property.
This money no doubt went into their Christmas bonus fund - it certainly won't have gone into their staff training budget as each and every member of staff that we had the mispleasure of dealing with was arrogant, full of lies, rude and just generally horrible.
My only advice to anyone thinking of signing an 'agreement' with Pickerings is to go elsewhere. Letting agents have a bad name in Headingley and it's not surprising when you see how terrible this company is.
(note - I rated then one out of five because you cannot select zero which is what they deserve)
