Chili's Grill & Bar London Reviews

baby back ribs - I don't even like Chili's in America.... so yes.. the food here was edible and I guess I thought it was decent because I'd been away from real food for about a year...but I don't think it's somewhere you really need to eat at unless there is something from Chili's you are absolutely DYING for and craving like there's no tomorrow.

Even so, prepare to be disappointed as it definitely doesn't live up to what's served in America.

The service is really slow too...considering it was not that busy when I went.

Only for desperate expats! - For those of us who've eaten at the Chilis restaurant chain in the USA, yes, this is the same place. However, you'd be wrong to expect that the UK operation comes even close to the quality of the US operation.

First of all, the prices at the Canary Wharf Chilis are outrageous. Of course Britain in general is more expensive than America, but it's just over the top to charge 15 pounds for a few chicken crispers with chips and a cold corn cobbette when the same meal in America is about 4.50 pounds and of much higher quality.

Also, the UK menu lacks many of the US items, including famous Chilis signature dishes such as the awesome blossom. Strangely, there is a chalkboard advertisement of the awesome blossom hanging on the wall at Canary Wharf but it doesn't appear on the menu.

If you're just looking for an American tex-mex experience, surely there are better places in London to go. I'd only recommend Chilis to American expats who are truly desperate, but even then you're probably better off waiting til you're next in the States. This place is so overpriced that a meal for four can practically pay for a flight to Dallas, where you'll find a hundred Chilis all much better than this one.
