This is one of my favourite places to go for a lunchtime drink with my work mates. It's tucked away down an alleyway called Little Turnstile away from the hustle and bustle of Holborn.
It attracts a mixed crowd of workers, locals and tourists (usually trying to find the John Soane's Museum round the corner) and is nearly always packed. They do a mix of wines, beers, spirits and lagers and upstairs there is a dining room.
This is what I would call a traditional no frills London pub - which is just what you need when you are having had a hard day at the office.
