Walking into this shop is like going back in time. An old fashioned bell announces your arrival as you push open the wooden door and are greeted with floor to ceiling glass jars piled high with all manner of sweets and chocolates. You really feel that this shop is someone's labour of love, so much attention is paid to detail that even the staff uniforms look 1950's in style. The window displays change regularly for Halloween, Christmas, Easter and all other big holidays – reason alone to come regularly.
Boiled sweets, fruit gums, sherbets, homemade chocolate truffles – it’s a Technicolor dream. I get a sugar rush just standing in the shop. If you’re not there to treat yourself, this is also a great place to buy presents or take kids for a special treat - just don't tell your dentist.
