Porchester Spa steam rooms. We knew we were in for a treat as our eldest son had been with two friends to be "shmiced" the week before Christmas. They could not stop talking about the atmosphere, camaraderie and how recharged they felt afterwards. They described the steam as "like geysers in Iceland" and the masseur looking like a giant wreathed in steam. Amazingly intuitive technique to be massaged in the steam with a huge soft Raffia brush. Well, we just had to try and went on the couples Sunday. At first we found it toO hot but the masseur Lee showed us how to wrap cold towels around our heads so it was more comfortable. The masseur does not realise what a gift he has as a healer. I feel ten years younger and am writing this a week after our visit. We are returning to Canada and we can truly recommend the Spa to visitors to London. This is old fashioned pleasure at its best. Thank you all..
