It's actually not really suitable for a birthday because it's "cozy" (read: small), but if you, like me, want most of your guests to stay long enough to buy you another drink and then bugger off, it's ideal.
The outside is fantastic, you can't miss it; a giant plastic buccaneer sits atop the awning.
The inside is very un-piratey; it's white and simple with plastic tulips on every table. But I actually kind of like that, you could imagine colonial smugglers coming in for a drink of rum.
The drink selection is pretty great, they have San Miguel on tap as well as lot's of liquor and pear cider. It's all about average price, I paid £6.40 for two pints.
The best thing is the self activating heat lamps outside.
