Broadway Market is a great place to spend a Saturday, especially when the sun is shining. It’s once a week and the trendy street filled with (good) coffee shops, tea houses, pubs and restaurants, turns into a cross between Borough Market and Spitafield’s Market but on a much, much, much smaller scale. They sell the typical farmer’s market fare such as fruits & vegs, cakes & breads, olive oils, meats & cheeses, but also have a homemade jewellery stall, vintage clothing stall, custom greeting cards stand and my favourite, the cupcake stand which not only sells full size cupcakes but bite-sized ones too. My favourite flavour is the salted caramel or coconut. So good! They also have coffee stalls and various stands to order hot foods, the mushroom and cheese melts being very popular. So you can get your grub and head across the street to either London Fields or the opposite way to Regent’s Canal and enjoy an afternoon of sun bathing and people watching.
