Staple of my diet
September 30, 2007
This place is the tits. I've only been on Wednesday/Cheapskates (the 80p per drink night - you'll need student ID) and Thursday/Candy Box (the £1 per drink night). If you go on a Thursday then grab a flyer off the guy who is usually stood outside Tottenham Court Road station, as you get a pound of entry (£5 instead of £6).
If you're a student or just skint, Wednesday or Thursday nights here should become a staple of your diet. Proper night out in central on £20. Granted, the alcohol is 'military grade', but it's cheap so I don't care. It's got all the usual things...dancefloor, discoballs, smoking area, and most impressively, there's mirrors on every wall. This effectively means that - should you so wish - you can look at yourself from any area of the club. Yep, Disneyland for narcissists...but if you dance like me then preserve your ego and avoid doing it on the dancefloor.
The music is generally indie, but you hear dance and the odd Michael Jackson song... that kind of thing. They might play nu-rave... I couldn't tell you because I don't know exactly what that is.
And also, if you're after mindless escapades with members of the opposite sex, then come here...if you're a guy, your chances of finding someone are pretty good, and if you're a girl, I can usually be found in the back area, hehe.
