Bank Westminster Restaurant is a smart London brasserie located in the heart of the City of Westminster. When you have a menu so vast like that at Bank, I immediately assume it can’t be that good with that much choice. But everything was good. We took clients there the other day for a Christmas lunch; one of the few decent places in Victoria to wine & dine. The dining room is in an atrium with loads of light and beautiful mansion house buildings to look out to. It was packed with (presumably) government and business workers (lots of suits).

I had the tomato and basil soup as starter. Basic but good. Then the terryiaki salmon with cucumber salad. The salmon portion was huge and cooked perfectly. The smoked haddock with spinach and hollandaise sauce starter was a hit on the table as was the French onion soup. Also the fish pie (looked like 3 portions) got good reviews and the lamb shop over roasted winter vegetables.

Service was decent and the price was £268 for 5 people including wine and service so not bad at all.

Bank is a great place for business lunches. The service is second to none and the food always very tasty - and as you might have guessed by the title, their mashed potato is so creamy and delish! I've never been there in the evening, but I think they're doing more to try and attract the evening crowd. The bar (Zander) at the front of the resto does amazing (if overpriced) cocktails.
