Japenese "pancakes" - Fun!

It is true that your clothes might smell a little funky after you spend an evening in Abeno, but that shouldn't stop you from going.

Okonomi means favorites in Japanese - hence the name okonomiyaki. You get to add your favourite ingredients to make up a delicious pancake.

You have a pretty extensive selection of ingredients to choose from for your pancakes and it is all prepared on the hibachi in front of you (hence why you end up smelling). I personally love the seafood preparations. Plus you get condiments to put on the top. Yum and fun!

Be sure to try the noodle (Hiroshima style) okonomiyaki as well.

Definitely go again, wearing something that can go into washing machine instead.

Dinner was a real experience. Obviously, main thing on the menu is Okonomiyaki - Japanese pancakes, cooked entertainingly right on your table. Order a full course. It includes several rounds of various yummyness with Okonomiyake being piece de resistance.
Place only features a few tables, so reservation is a must. Advice - this is not a place for romantic dinner. Go with friends to enjoy yourself.
