A proper London pub

3.0 out of 5.0

October 02, 2008

I do like this little blue-painted pub, with its hanging baskets and big glass windows. It's cheery, neighbourly and attracts a mixed bag of professionals, local residents, builders, oldies and students from UCL. Chaz, the landlord, happily engages with everyone and provides a nice lunch menu - particularly the Sunday roast and the strangely luminous fish'n chips. You can sit inside or out and it makes a nice change from the larger, noisier Marquis of Cornwallis along the street, particularly if it's a hair of the dog you're after. The only gripe is the rather basic toilets. Sort 'em out, Chaz!
