Lisboa Patisserie London Reviews

Lisboa's great - The Lisboa is a great place to be for that early morning coffee, where you can meet friends. If the weather is great there is nothing like sitting outside to watch the world go by.

non-posy notting hill cafe - I agree with everything below! This end of Portobello Rd is definitely the right end to be on. It's managed to retain a sense of what Notting Hill used to be like before it got totally overrun with bankers. If you can get a seat you can sit outside Lisboa in the shadow of Trellik Tower and watch the world go by. It's basic but tasty fare - coffee and eggy pastries - but it's the atmosphere that makes this place: old school notting hill locals, and first and second generation Portugese.

A little bit of sunshine - Golbourne Rd is without a doubt the 'right end' of Portobello Rd. Starting from Notting Hill Gate on any day, let alone a Saturday, the majestic portal of the Westway crossing the market street should be welcomed and seen as the gateway to better things. We'll excuse Garcia, the Spanish emporium, for being on the wrong side.

Golbourne Rd is better known for being the centre of London's Moroccan community but the Portuguese have left their stamp here too, most notably Lisboa Patisserie.

This place shines at all levels, and the only unfortunate thing is that everybody in the area knows it. Good luck with finding a table. Coffee and cakes are all fine, and of course, no visit to a Portuguese patisserie is complete without trying their Pastel de nata, the famous Portugues custard tarts.
