Fair Price, Good Service

I badly needed a haircut, but I didn't know where to go. I had been putting it off as long as possible because I hate finding new barbers. Finally, I looked way too shaggy to put it off any longer so I started calling places near my work. Most were charging over £30, even for men. Not in this life. A £30 haircut had better come with free beer. For weeks I had been walking past Hair By Mitat, but since it was near the Lycee Francaise and in the mini-France that is South Ken, I feared that it would be really expensive and they might try to give me some strange post-modern mime haircut, or something. I admit that I have strange worries. Anyhow, their price was reasonable and they didn't seem to want to make me into a mime. £18 for a 45 minute cut with pre-wash and a post-wash to get rid of all of the mini hair bits that poke you all day after a haircut (great idea). I have always gone barbers who are over 80 years old who do dry cuts - this was my first wet cut, and first cut by a younger woman (gasp!), but she was great and I will definitely be returning.
