Fast & Fresh

Have been to Flames several times, I have always come away thinking this is real value for money fast food, the most impressive thing for me was the freshness of everything I tried, the food is literally cooked whilst you wait, and that doesn't take long as the shop is very busy being situated in front of the Bus stop at Victoria Underground Station and the cooking is non stop.

As it turns out, this is where the famous "Flames Falafel" (that is sold in most kebab shops, sandwich shops, cafes, and even supermarkets, as a Vegetarian snack) was borne, as a member of staff proudly told me "We were one of the first shops to introduce Falafel nearly Twenty years ago"

The Kebabs are exceptional and long queues form outside the shop at busy times, but still worth the wait.

A draw back is that the shop is a take away only with no seating at all, which is okay if like me you don't mind displaying your eating habits in public or if you live within a couple of miles from the shop.

Will recommend eating there any day.
