The Worst Bank
July 24, 2010
On a Saturday afternoon I needed to visit Lloyds on Royal Parade Plymouth regarding a business account I was a new signatory to. The staff couldn't have been ruder if they'd tried. This was my first encounter with Lloyds and will hopefully be my last as I've recommended our business move elsewhere. I was kept waiting (without seating) for 20 minutes and finally when I did meet a member of staff she sighed, huffed and puffed as if I'd crawled out from under a stone and kept referring to me as 'Darling'. Eventually I had to say I was not her 'Darling'. After another member of staff arrived I was told the form was incorrect. This was the Form that the Treasurer had been given by Lloyds and I did explain there was ID for all of us. This still wasn't good enough. Trying to get home (my mother has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer) Miss P (the second assistant) said under her breath "You aren't the only one with problems you know". Unprofessional, cheap, tacky and downright down-at-heel. Housewives in suits and brains in the sink.
