Situated at the heart of East Dulwich on the corner of Lordship Lane and North Cross Road, the Palmerston has been described in a national Sunday newspaper as resembling an Edward Hopper painting. With open fires, rich oak panelled walls and elegant chandeliers the ambience is relaxed and informal.

Dulwich Delight

4.0 out of 5.0

October 03, 2007

Feted Gastro pub in East Dulwich and rightly so. A large bar out front and a cosy restaurant with mismatched furniture towards the back. Great selection of wines and champagne. The food was also top notch.
The small menu focused on seasonal produce without too much adornment.
Starters encompassed pumpkin risotto, oysters and foie gras for the more daring whilst the selection of mains offered roasted leg of lamb, pork belly, plaice, halibut and Moroccan stuffed aubergine for those favouring something more vegetarian.
Dessert also hit the spot with the most indulgent sticky toffee pudding ever and a slice of almond and plum tart with clotted cream. Yum
