Modern indian off the beaten track

Ok, so Herne Hill isn't really off the beaten track, but it is an a$%^ to get to unless you live locally (just a couple of trains per hour go there from victoria). Its worth it though. Literally just next to the station is this little gem of a restaurant. If you like Benares, Cinammon Club etc. but your wallet isn't feeling so flush, then this is perfect for you. The food is modern Indian (the fish is particulary good) and the decor is just modern really. The service is v friendly and there's heaps of choice. I haven't been here for a couple of years now and just writing this has made me realise I need to go back v v soon! Be brave - find Herne Hill and find some delicious Indian cuisine
