My experience with myhotel has been quite good despite the name being probably the worst name of all time for any establishment.

Let me explain. Yes, the name - myhotel - on paper looks quite cute and modern. This name, however, doesn't translate in a realistic situation...

The first time I had to venture over to myhotel was to visit a friend in town. My friend was Italian and her accent and pronunciation isn't necessarily understandable at the best of times. Trust me, on this particular occasion it was impossible. I had my friend inform me that she was staying at myhotel. Obviously, I was perplexed by this statement because, yes, she was staying at her hotel. When asked for the name of her hotel (again) she replied, "myhotel". Which basically led to a comical conversation that went along the lines of "who is on first". I eventually gave up and just asked for the address.

Upon stepping into a cab, I gave the driver the address of the hotel (that was "her's" as she claimed). When we arrived it all of a sudden became apparent that, in fact, I was the one with the mispronunciation error. The hotel was actually called MYHOTEL.

WTF. This is probably the dumbest name ever for a hotel...

Imagine getting in a cab and telling them that you want to go to "myhotel". They all ask you, "Yes, what hotel is that" and the same conversation ensues.

Alas, I made it there. Alive.

And the hotel is actually quite nice. The single rooms are quite small, but the doubles and suites are really spacious and nice. The clientele usually feature some of the best known DJ's on travel (not sure what that is about, but this is their mecca in London).

Be sure to try out the cocktails in the bar area. Cute Italian waiters server up some mean mojitos.

So, if you can actually get anyone to understand that yourhotel is actually myhotel, then you should have a decent stay and a great cocktail.
