The Best Burgers.......

When I first saw the title, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, I was a bit apprehensive as to how "Gourmet" a burger could be?
When you first walk in, you get a good feeling about the place. This is something that will always pull me in, or make me turn and go back the way I came very quickly!
The first big thing about the Gourmet Burger Kitchen is their big (but not overwhelming) menu, with the basic burger all the way to the very exotic. In my opinion, the Classic is always the best. Anything else and you really do just make a mess!
One thing I was not overly keep on, was the fact you have to go to the counter to order your food, although I suppose it does keep in line with the relaxed feel of the place, so on this occasion I didn't mind.
The burgers themselves are delicious, not the stereotypical grease ball of a thing. Comes in a great bun with fresh salad. In my opinion, the best way to eat one is just to cut it in half and pick it up!
There are many side dishes to choose from, but I went for the traditional chips. I wasn’t overly impressed when the came as the bowl was rather small, but it was definitely quality over quantity so they more than made up for that!
For desert, we decided to try one of their fresh milkshakes. These are great! (If not slightly american)
The service is quick and polite, (this may be helped by the fact that they don't have to take orders).
Overall, the Gourmet Burger Kitchen really does impress and have already been back, taking more friends with me! And that, really, is what a good restaurant should do!
