Prompt service , reasonable price - I was caught out when my car broke down just before Xmas and I turned to my local garage Motech for help. They went out of their way to provide a prompt and efficient repair to my car. Not having used them before I was pleasantly surprised when the bill on comparison was a lot cheaper than a quote I had been given elsewhere. I commend the all round good service given to me by these guys and would recommend without a doubt.

M5 - I recently had my e28 m5 serviced at motech and was exceptionally pleased
That my car was collected and delivered, it was also washed and the bill was
Reasonable, first time customer and will be using them again, I'm very impressed
With the professionalism and old school knowledge they had of my car
And the cost was a little over half of what I would pay at BMW
Keep up the good work guys

good service - very good tecks who know there stuff nice cheap garage Had my M5 E39 modified motech in streaham....great service...really helpful...hourly rate was great...not surprising with dealer rates well over £100 per hour !!! Excellent recommendations did exactly what it says on the tin. Would recommend them to any petrol head..

good garage - I found this garage very near to where I live via the Good Garage Scheme. I'm always nervous using garages as a woman in case they think 'Ker-Ching' when you walk through the door! I found them to be honest, friendly, professional and the repairs weren't as costly as I thought. I would recommend them and will be using them again for family members' cars. harry, you are a star for getting me back on the road and thank you. The service is better than what you get at the dealers! 23/04/12

Waste Of Time And Money - Well my last review was removed, probably due to it being a bad one, also another review was removed, strange as that was a bad one as well ????

These bunch of rip off merchants really need to be taken to task.

If you go there do yourself a favour, get a quote from the main dealers it will be cheaper.

Some reviews on here are from the staff, absolutely disgusting.

not a bad service - i have been using motech streatham for some time now iv never had any problams with them when i service my car there it comes out driving like new my mots pass with without any problams i think there alright they are polite they explane everything to me about my car & whenever i need a bulb or air in my tyres or just anything about my car they talk to me about it & let me know how to sort it.

Waste Of Time And Money - What a joke this place is, had vehicle in for minor repairs, told again and again that it would be done on that day, it wasn't, a Mr Ricky is such a liar and knows little about cars, and he's the manager, took my car to another garage locally and it was a third of the price.

Worst part ??? Mr Ricky's diagnosis was woefully wrong.

AVOID.

WORSE SERVICE EVER! NEVER AGAIN - As a new car buying i was suprised when things started going wrong with my car! I actually saw the good reviews on here and decided to give them a go as they are local to me...
i came in for one issue and left the car with them, they then told me a list of about 10 different issues with the car saying it needed a new timeing chain and everything that goes with it and water pump and alot of other things. As i had warentee they said they would chase it up.... twice they booked me in to do the work and i left the car... on the two seperate days they didnt bother to chase up until the evening and therefore had my car sitting there and i had to once again come and collect it... i was promised they would sort it out on monday so i can bring the car in weds to have the works done (my day off) from monday till weds i could not get hold of him every time i called (about 20 times in total) he was never there or i was told he would call me back.... so for 3 days still nothing! in total they quoted me over £900 for the works that needed doing... after trying to get hold of the manager for those 3 days i finally gave up and went to another garage... when they checked it out the issue had nothing what so ever to do with the timeing chain - they said it looks like theres a brand new one in there (i confirmed with the garage i bought it from) and the issue was the suspension making a noise! Absolute waste of time and effort would NEVER reccomend!

THE BEST GARAGE - im very lucky that my local garage is good. ive benn going there for 3 years now & every time i get a brilliant service ,very knowledgeable staff ,if you want your car repaired properly first time then go there seriously.they did'nt try selling me extra stuff likewhat most garages do , ifound them honest hence why i would only use them

Brilliant Service !!!! - As a young woman I expected to feel out of depth and intimidated by visiting a garage.But I was wrong, and the service was tailor made to fit my knowledge. I was welcomed and informed on the service. The staff at thisGarage quickly finished work on my car but to the highest standard, and I was back on the road in no time! 10 STARS!

quick pleasant service :) - hi

i have used this garage recently. i found them to be helpful, fast and resonabaly priced. i booked the car in for a holiday check as we were of to the south of france for a couple of weeks with the kids which cost me £45. they gave my a checklist of of the checks that they had carried out. they even changed the registration plate bulbs for no extra charge. it was wonderfull having everything checked before we set out on our long journey.

i would remind everyone to get the cars checked over before setting out on a long journey.

Avoid - the good reviews are wrong - Truly terrible service. Stupidly I have been here twice through laziness. Both times they have charged me extra for stuff I don't need - pushed it on me saying I need this done when it hasn't come up in other checks. The worst thing is they took so much time doing this extra stuff I ran out of time to get it back to be retested. They kept saying it'll be 5 minutes, 1 and a half hours later I'm still waiting. As I sat there waiting disgruntled customers kept coming in, all of them with complaints about communication, or work that they hadn't needed. The positive reviews of this place must have been planted by partisan parties. AVOID.

GOOD GARAGE - Motech is a very good garage. I took my car in of a MOT and a service. They told me all that needed to be done on the car and what parts where needed. Their price was not bad at all, for all that was needed to be done on he car. When I came back to pick up my car later that day, everthing was done. I was very pleased with their service and will definatly be going back if i need any other work done on my car.

Quick, Friendly and Reasonable - Even though my car failed it's MOT on one point (one headlight too low) as all other garages SHOULD do they recognised this as trivial, and corrected it for free, then re-tested it and it passed for free. Highly recommended.

Competence - I have used Motech for over two years now, and I have recommended the garage to many family and friends. The work is always completed to a high quality. The premises are clean and tidy and the staff are friendly, helpful and will always take time to explain what repairs they have completed and why. All this and low charges, you could do no better than use this garage. Five star service, if you don't believe me try them.

The best garage ever! - With motech you get the best of everything, parts and labour. It’s a very friendly place and for us ladies it’s very important to have someone that explains everything and shows you the work they’ve done.
I don’t know about the complaining gentleman, i think they wouldnt do that to anyone, he made them look like monsters but they’re all nice helpfull guys.
I suggest you go and check that for yourself.
I am a very happy cutomer and would recomend motech to everyone and already recomended it to friends and family.

Cracked windscreen/guard,dash,bonet - Stay clear of these people, I toot in my Golf V5 simply to have the stereo wires pushed back behind the head unit, so that the stereo would fit properly, and a wire fed through the engine into the cockpit. They cracked the fascia above the stereo, and the side of the dash, made scratches all over the dash and oil marks on the interior, which were perfect beforehand. When feeding through the power cable from the engine to the cockpit, they broke the lever which opens the boot. Day 2: I took it back to report the problems, they told me I was over reaching and said they would take care of it. When I went back in the afternoon to pick up the car they had somehow broken the windscreen and the windscreen guard. I complained and they told me again that I was over reacting and they would take care of it and give me a warranty on all new parts Day 3: They had fixed the stereo facia, although dash was simply glued back together and scratches remained. The boot level now only just works as its very slack so will probably need repairing again in the future. I asked them to see if they could tighten it up and they said it was the best they could do. The windscreen is not a VW one which I was promised; simply a cheap one and the rubber seals don’t fit, which will mean that the cockpit is no-longer airtight (the standard you expect from VW). So they have degraded by car and on completion refused to give a warranty, so now if anything goes wrong I will have to payout again to have it fixed. And despite them doing all this damage and me being without a car for three days they still charged me for the work that I had initially asked them to undertake. On leaving they told me that I was a nightmare customer and I had been very difficult and never once apologised for all the damage they had done to my car! If you do choose to go here, first asked them about the Golf V5 that they complete screwed up, but I wouldn’t believe a word they say. Complete and utter incompetence! If you value your car do not under any circumstances take it to this garage!!!

Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!! - A word of warning: be very careful when dealing with these guys. I took my car here for some minor work and an MOT. They then failed the car on four items, one of which was related to the work I asked them to do. When I asked them to show me they weren’t very helpful and I just got a sense that they weren’t being entirely honest. I then took my car to a Wandsworth council depot to have it looked at independently by one of their MOT testers. He confirmed my suspicions – three of the four items Motech had failed it on were just complete nonsense and the remaining failure point, although valid, had been caused by them. I went back to challenge them with this and they refused to accept responsibility. I will now be reporting them to VOSA but in the mean time, be warned!
