It’s nondescript from the outside and on closer inspection just looks like a kebab take away. However, once inside and past the take away section, it opens into a warm and inviting restaurant, lovingly recreating a Greek Mediterranean atmosphere.
It seems to be a bit of a hidden secret; there aren’t many reviews online but that the majority of customers were Greek or Greek descendant means that they are doing something genuine. The staff (on this visit) were friendly and helpful enough but it’s really the food that excels; as good as it gets for Greek restaurants in North London.
If there were any quibbles it would be that the mains come with a selection of starters which are so filling that there is little space left for the mains themselves, which were slightly on the small side. Ordering separate starters produces an amount of food that is just not consumable in one sitting (hence the number of people leaving with doggy bags).
Overall though, a pleasant enough experience heightened by discovering a place that really should be better known.
