Decadent cocktail bar inside the Berkeley hotel. It's intimate (i.e. small), so make sure you get there early and nab a table - no standing around allowed. Service is polite and attentive. Cosy chairs, dark furniture, blue walls, thick velvet curtains help create a fabulous loungey atmosphere, with a snazzy soundtrack in the background. The cocktail list is extensive - my Rossini (champagne, crème de fraises, and "organic strawberry puree") was fabulous and really did taste like a whole field of ripe summer strawberries had gone into its creation.
Drinks don't come cheap, but then this is one of London's elite hotels - expect to pay between £12 - £16 a cocktail, but they do supply a large tray of nibbles to accompany your drinks (olives, bread sticks, crackers), so theoretically you could pass this off as dinner.
