Have had my hair both cut and coloured here and I love it. The stylists really listen to you and give you what you want. They have not let me down once!

Salon is bright, spacious and airy and the stylists have always been very professional.

Cheap, but only if you have courage

This salon is the HQ for the UK chain and it's where all of their apprentices or new hires go to finish off their training/induction. What does that mean? It means that all stylists need to go through Harington's very own 2 week training to ensure that they are styling hair to the company's standards. Seems like a good idea to me. They're also monitored by the salon's creative art director so rest assured that you won't walk away with a dodgy haircut.

That being said, this is a normal salon also not just a training ground - so you can book yourself in with a normal stylist if you want.

Many of the new employees have been hairdressers for years so you don't always get stuck with a novice fresh out of hairdressing school.

Best of all, it offers everyone the opportunity to get their hair styled/cut by the new employees for only £7.50 rather than the minimum £40 fcharged for the stylists, art directors and so on (similar setup to Toni & Guy).

The reason I like getting my hair cut this way is because:

1. The hairdresser needs to do a good job to pass their training
2. You get a new hairdresser each time and they're not complacent
3. It's bloody cheap!
4. I've never once had a dodgy haircut there

When booking an appointment, you need to ask to be a hair model to take advantage of this, otherwise you'll be booked in with a Stylist.

So - be daring and give it a try!
