A fine art gallery...

I stopped at this place when something in the window caught my eye as I was passing on my way to Oxford Street.

I don't really know a great deal about art, but found that the guy in the gallery to be extremely helpful. He certainly didn't hold my lack of knowledge against me, and was able to give me a lot of information about different artists that they had on walls.

In terms of a purchase; I liked the piece I saw so much that I bought it. I was given some information about the artist to take with me, and certainly felt like I had got something special.

I've been past a couple of times since and there always sems to be a lot of new stuff. One of the last times there was a sole exhibition by a British artist called Annie Ralli; a visit is recommended even if you’re not looking to buy, no pressure from the staff, and really interesting works.

Overall it was very friendly place to be, with an interesting and varied selection of art.

Where Art Thou...?

....Well I'll probably be in one of Marylebone's best independent art galleries. It's off the beaten Central London track and on the way to Baker Street, just around the corner from The prestigous Wallace Collection.

The gallery has an excellent selection of British, International: Traditional, contemporary: landscapes, city scapes: And many original paintings to suit most tastes.

Their website has most artwork that is available at the gallery www.colomb-art.co.uk.

A visit to one of Marylebone's best kept secrets is a must.
