This pub has been having trouble from a certain individual, a disgruntled customer who has taken it into his head to cause as much trouble as he can for this and other pubs in the area.
I have never had any problems with this pub and frequent there most Sundays with my family for their excellent roast. - The Staff are friendly and well presented.

I have eaten with my family in the Rising Sun public house on several occasions. Every time, the food is 1st class, always prompt and very well presented.
One critisism I have, is that the price of both the food and drink maybe a little high but once you have sampled the cuisine, it more than makes up for it.

Delicious food served at the Rising Sun. Particularly fond of a Sunday roast!
Sitting in the beer garden is rather nice, more so with a nice glass of cider in the sunshine.
All round nice pub with staff that have a sense of humour.
Oh! and they have a pool table :)

I have now visited the Rising Sun half a dozen times this year with no problem. I have even taken a large group of friends and family there for Sunday Lunch 30+ people No problem.
I plan to go again with my family today and I know the food will be great value for money.

I have only just started using this pub. I have read a few bad reviews on the Rising Sun, and I can't understand why. You just can't please all people all the time. The pub is a nice clean and friendly place to drink. The food is excellent, and I really would recomend you go for a sunday lunch there. It's just like good old home cooking, and it's great. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. The Land Lady is also pleasant and welcoming, but firm, and she will not stand for any trouble in her pub, which is her right and I applaud her for that.

The Rising Sun is a very,very nice place. I have seen several poor reviews from what appears to be the same person.
This pub is exceptionlly clean, the food and the service are great and the staff are all very polite and friendly. We will return

The Rising Sun is by far the best pub around the area. The landladies and bar staff look after their locals extremely well and are welcoming to all new faces. The landladies offer a great menu of homecooked, fresh and healthy food from a cheese and onion toastie to the full Sunday roast with all the trimmings. They are family friendly and always look after the visiting pooches! A great venue for the footie and other sporting occasions.
