THE pub for anyone interested in the Brit art movement of the last 15 years. Much publicity has poured into this venue since Tracy Emin made it her home from home after moving into the area. Much down to the omnipresent landlady Sandra, a wonderful matriarch and ambassador for the spitalfields area. The pub is normally rammed by 5pm, many tourists eager to get a glimpse of Ms Emin or Sarah Lucus or many of the other local art stars. 2 bars, the one to the left hand side is the V.I.P section, but normally open to the public. Dispite it's fame it's still genuine, the bar staff are intsructed to weed out the trouble makers, hangers on and to leave the true eccentrics, of which their are many, alone. A great british institution. Look out for the orginal artwork by Emin behind the bar, also the pictures of Sandra the landlady.
