No.Hill Brasserie is really wonderful. An elegant restaurant with wonderful service - first class fine dining. Weeeellll, almost first class... You get a sense that the restaurant is working very hard at being top Michelin *star quality, and it may get there soon, but it's maybe just missing the mark a bit. It's hard to pin-point where exactly, but perhaps the pertinent point is you can feel them trying, and you shouldn't sense that strain.
A really really fabulous experience though. The natural division into small rooms feels quite private so an ideal location for a romantic celebration.

I've only been to Notting Hill Brasserie to finish off the evening for another drink (or two!). I'm a sucker for a Sweet Manhattan and they do a good one. The staff are friendly and there is always someone playing the piano, which adds to the ambience.
It has a great old library feel without being stuffy. So if your are in the area and don't want to finish the night quite so quickly, head over to Notting Hill Brasserie and you won't be disappointed.
