Korma Blimey - that's good curry!

5.0 out of 5.0

I was first introduced to this curry house about a year ago and have made numerous trips back just to make sure it is as good as I remembered! The most recent of these trips being just last night when a friend over from Australia had to come and get her Monsoon curry fix!

As soon as you enter The Monsoon you are greeted by the lovely waiters who are friendly, funny and above all ready to help in anyway they can. You can usually negotiate a special deal with the guys when you walk in - a free drink, a set price for a set menu, bottle of wine on the house etc. etc. It's worth haggling with the waiters and adds to the fun of the evening. It's worth mentioning that the bigger the group, the bigger the discount so bring as many friends as you can!!

Monsoon has a large menu to choose from. I've tried a variety of curries and have to say they have all been delicious! Last night, I had a Chicken Sag which was aromatic, fresh and spicy. The orders from the rest of the group varied and the waiters are on hand to help you choose. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal with a special mention for the gorgeous Vegetable Thali and a nice hot Vindaloo!

As I mentioned, price can vary here depending on the deal you strike with the waiter on arrival! We ended up paying £16 a head last night which included a couple of bottles of wine and a fair few beers. I have paid as little as £9 for about the same amount but that was with a larger group.

This is definitely my favourite curry house I have ever been to. Everyone I take here becomes a regular visitor as the quality of food and service just can't be beaten - especially for the price you pay. Honestly, cannot reccommend it enough!
