Do you have to be mad to wake up at 6m or even earlier, 4 am to spend your precious morning not in bed but amongst hanging from the walls carcasses?
No! It's enough that you are a rebelious carnivore who can't stand supermarkets' ripp off. Hunting for a gorgeous and juicy piece of meat is much nicer when you know that you cut out this terrible link of the supply chain and make a deal of a day without giving them their share. Meat at Smithfield is even half as much as at Sainsbury's on their most generous day!
Remember, in order to make the most of the Smithfield Market, you need to have freezer!
5 kg bag of chicken breasts will go off quickly if you don't keep it cool:)
