The Golden Lion was built at the beginning of the 20th century and has a lavishly decorated exterior. It offers bar food and a selection of beers, and caters for private parties of up to 100 guests upon request. They provide a wide range of entertainment including darts (which they play in local competitions), gaming machines, quiz nights on Thursdays, live music on Fridays and the appearance of guest bands. Seating on the terrace area is provided, weather permitting.
