The fantastic theme does not stop with the name in this extraordinary venue. Through the bar at the front is the restaurant located inside Sleeping Beauty's tower; tables balance precariously on the various different levels up the spiral staircase. They serve a modern British menu with Mediterranean influence. They can cater for private parties of up to 100 guests. Outside seating is provided on the pavement.

So I've had drinks at BBB upstairs in the past and while the clientale is somewhat snooty, the staff was very nice. This time I decided to try having dinner downstairs. It was absolutely fantastic. The food was great and the decor was impressive and trendy.

I'm definitley heading back... try the lamb - SO good.

This is one of those Notting Hill places that is apparently frequented by the rich bankers and their ilk. It has a very opulent feel to it, with multiple chandeliers and other candelabra-type light fixtures. The bar staff are fantastic, I must admit - they make very good cocktails and they're quite polite. They even look good, just like 99% of their clientele!!

Most of the people I noticed were a bit older, so yes, as the previous commenter said it is a bit of a cougah den I suppose. If you look youngish, then they'll ask for ID before letting you in. Overall, if you want a place in Notting Hill for a quick drink or two before heading somewhere else (most likely Lonsdale which is round the corner, there was a train of people heading there when they were done with the BBB), then I'd say why not. The drinks are not cheap, but that's to be expected.

The perfect Notting Hill regular!

Loving the BBB. Service is very friendly, but maybe that's because we are almost regulars.

It's pricey, of course - but it is sumptuous and great to sit out and people watch if you can brave sitting outside in the cold.

Inside - gorgeous. I haven't eaten here but perfect for pre-dinner drinks if you are booked for somewhere equally yummy in Notting Hill afterwards.

Great for champagne! Look out for the lovely friendly waitress Kate.

The Cougah Den

If you are into Eurotrash or Cougahs (an older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man) then BBB (as it is abbreviated for those in the know) should be right up your alley.

BBB serves up a large menu of cocktails to a fancy crowd. Sometimes it is fun to sit and people watch here, sometimes it is just a bit too much. But if you get bored, you can always watch the Late Night Hot Fashion TV (and sometimes catch a nipple) that is constantly playing on their tvs throughout the bar area. I'm still not sure what that is all about...

I have never eaten here so I can't comment on the food.
