This was to be a long awaited and deserved treat that went miserably and terribly wrong, at every level and to my expense.
Compton staff named Sydney, claimed there was one beautician and one manicurist. My child had a facial next door, to me, at the same time i hoped to have a professional Shellac treatment for the first time. OMG
The Shellac applicant didn't seem to have a clue, how to apply the treatment or nail product, or how to shape my nails. Then she proceeded to frighteningly slap products on my face, using the same water throughout until applying after cream????? Covering lips and eyelashes with creams etc, without telling me what she was doing, because she was running out of time, and had another client due to arrive.
Compton staff, owner and manager Zalton was most unhelpful, lacked basic customer service skills, product knowledge, salon etiquette, decorum, common decency and respect for individuals.
The nail product applicant failed to see my nail shape and length to cover as expected, in a professional manner. I could have done better at home, with my eyes closed. The nail product has started to and possible to be peeled off at any time, despite being told it should last at least two weeks.
Proceeding up the stairs, the youngest rudest looking and mannered seat warming staff, without respect for clients, began to laugh at my disabilities in climbing their stairs, after almost being blinded, having a facial product squirted over my eye lashes, which had waterproof mascara on them.
Sydney questioned me in front of 4 members of staff, who stared at me, making me feel highly uncomfortable. Sydney also spoke to me as if she was a type of manager at Compton, before saying, she's just the receptionist, which was a greatly degrading, demoralising, time wasting, intrusive, inconvenient and disappointing, to say the least.
Zalton, Sydney and Nail/Facial person gave me an earful of verbal misgivings, verbally mislead us to return in vain, cost of travel.
I rang at least three times to speak to Zalton the owner and manager, who apologised, and said the products offered and suggested by nail technician/ beautician, would be available for collection, with my name on them..... Upon collection, nothing was there to be collected.
I have spent over £60, not including calls made, travel cost, humiliation, fatigue, distress, inconvenience and embarrassment caused.
