The so called "review" below by Brian.R. is bogus. The whole scenario is fictitious with regards to our company.
Specific points which highlight its flaws are-
*In 30 years of trading a deposit has never been taken for any job, we have a trusting relationship with our customers.
*"resin"? This is not used in our methods of installing said units.
*"Plate and funnel"? We have never fitted a ventilation system comprising of said components.
*We have always tested the unit before leaving not "wait 12 hours".
We have confirmed with the FMB that no complaints have ever been received relating to Oselton Building Services and this can be confirmed by calling them on 01223 462636.
Furthermore, the competence of our company is reflected in our customer base, of which approximately 90% is repeat and recommendation. For a 30 year old business this fact alone contradicts the content of this bogus review.

After noticing that my kitchen wall was weeping i decided to get the professionals in to help.
I found Oselton Building Services on the FMB (federation of master builders) website so that at least i had some comeback if there was a problem.
the boss came in person and basically said that there looked to be ventillation issues in the house and if i had a ventillation unit installed then the problem would be rectified.
i decided to go ahead with the work and paid an initial £208 to Mr Oselton for a deposit.
the next monday he turned up 2 hours late and immediately asked about getting access to the loft space.
i explained that the loft had been recently insulated and that the beams were indeed hidden underneath and to be careful.
after about 90 minutes he came back down and went to get the plate and funnel. this actaully involved cutting a chunk out of my ceiling and hooking the plate up into the loft.
then about 30 minutes later he said it was all finished and that i should wait 12 hours before using it as the resin would need to settle.
i paid the remainder of the balance and he left.
the next morning i went over to switch it on and it worked but made a huge amount of noise and from downstairs there was a distinct humming sound.
i thought it would be a good idea to have a look on the web to see if the problem i had was common and most of the posts were about actual causes of damp and the process of fixing it.
one poster said that after getting a ventilator installed the damp kept returning and after getting round a friend for advice , noticed that the guttering was in disrepair (thus water was running down all the outside walls and seeping into the brickwork).
after i saw that i felt very cheated and decided to monitor the damp. after 6 weeks the damp was still visible and all that had changed was my eletrical bills .
all in all i am very dissapointed with the supposed competence of this man and i have complained to the FMB in writing.
