had to share with you a really special evening i spent at the quecumbar . went along with my boyfriend for a concert - john jorgenson, didnt really know the music, but came out of there completely and utterly hooked. the place is like stepping back in time to 30s Paris, palm trees, fairy lights, old black and white photos, little vintage decorations . the music was stupendous - and i am not particularly a jazz fan. guitars, violin, bass and 2 twin sisters playing trombones behind the bar . great crowd, friendly and un aloof, staff was lovely and friendly . food was french-ish, pate was great with homemade onion marmalade and HUGE portion of venison burgers and potato wedges for after.but it was really the atmosphere that was just brilliant, and electric. they have live music every night so i will definitly be back!
