Waterloo Brasserie, "WB", offers an all day experience serving classic brasserie-style dishes from breakfast through to dinner.

Group executive chef Franck Lebiez oversees the menu alongside experienced Head Chef Eric Payet. True to its name, the menu reflects the style of a French brasserie.

Lit with natural light from a window-lined wall looking out on The Old Vic Theatre, the rich colour scheme injects a welcoming and contemporary feel, while a 200-bin exposed working wine cellar will provide a stunning focus. Signature furniture pieces complement the long bar housing a stunning Elektra Belle Epoque coffee machine, the first in a central London brasserie.

Calm and cool on a busy street

Waterloo Brasserie is modern and warm, with lots of deep red paint and dark wood tables and chairs. There was a fireplace with couches and a bar with hanging clear glass ornaments above it, and our tall table was decorated with small vases of vibrant orange and pink two-tone roses.

I had a fig and cheese tartine and some delicious blackcurrant hibiscus tea and my friend had a two-course meal with lentil soup and duck. We split the hot chocolate fondant dessert, which came with salted caramel sorbet and was warm, gooey and a delicious end to our meal. The prices were quite reasonable, too.
