Probably the best Polish Restaurant
July 21, 2008
Of course, nobody cooks better than my Mum but I've found a place that can try to compete with Her...This time I gave a chance to The Knaypa, another Polish restaurant in West London.
Taking into consideration Polish architectural taste, The Knaypa looks really nice. It has two dining areas- the ground floor with contemporary design and the downstairs area which looks like a reminiscent of an old Silesian inn.
Food is delicious, especially if you like meat! Apart from 'hackneyed' dishes such as bigos or golabki, you can taste a rabbit leg (I know, sounds awful....), grilled ribeye or home-made dumplings filled with eveything you can imagine. I went for pork tenderloin served with roast potatoes, chanterelle sauce and salad! Uhm....was marvellous!
Obviously, The Knaypa serves lots of Polish alcohols (mint vodka, cherry vodka, honey vodka, cranberry vodka, pepper vodka and many others) so be careful and drink responsibly!
The prices aren't extremely high and you can have a proper main course for about £ 15 or just a shot of vodka for about £2:)
