In common with other people writing reviews here, I had virtually given up on getting a decent passport photo done, until I discovered (after a Google search) the ID Photoshop on the Strand. Sam, the guy who shot my photo, was wonderful in every respect: first off, he is exceedingly friendly and polite (and it's not fake, it's the real thing); second, he has the right equipment, and he knows how to use it; third, he knows exactly how to coax the most flattering, but entirely within the rules in terms of expression, picture from his sitters; and finally, the price is incredibly reasonable for the time he takes and the quality of the resulting prints. If you care about how you look in your travel documents, and call me vain, but I DO, don't waste your time or money anywhere else, go straight to the ID photoshop. You will encounter a real craftsman who respects his customers and clearly takes pride in his work. Thanks, Sam!

I cannot recommend the ID Photoshop strongly enough. After trying half a dozen places with most disappointing results, and having wasted some £25 in the process, I was so glad to find out about ID Photoshop on the web. Both the service and the quality of the photos were excellent and the price extremely competitive. For the cost of 4 photos at a photo booth I had 8 professionally taken and edited photos, far superior in quality than any of the photos I had wasted my money on previously.

Sam does a great job taking photos -in my case for an online application.
Was generously patient and happy to take as my photos as need be.
Best of all was to get it downloaded and sorted in less than 24hrs.
Definitely worth it even though you do have to wing your way down the station to get there:)

I have used The ID Photoshop two times for two different passport/visa applications. Both times the photos were well done and accepted by the respective governments (US and UK).
The price is good. The standards are high.
And the photographer has a great memory, recalling me even though it was 8 months between visits.
Highly recommended.

I had an emergency when I realized my passport was out of date and I had 4 days until my holiday in the sun. I took a day off of work to sort this out and went to another so called passport photo shop that rushed the whole thing and got me out the door, I didnt realize that passport photos had to be so precise until my application was rejected because of it leaving me with 1 day to sort it out. Luckly I work quite close to charing cross station and was informed about the ID shop, I told the guy that worked there about my ordeal and he made a nice point to go through the variables that the passport office look for and was really helpful throughout. Later I got my new passport without any problems, saving my holiday!
