The lines of grey haired diners waiting at the servery of this garden centre cafe/restaurant attests to the great value offered by simply cooked classic British food in this otherwise unremarkable dining place. The space is like a pleasant staff canteen and the staff greet customers with the kind of camaraderie that one finds in such places. I usually order one of the two roast dinners that are always offered but I have found other dishes to be just as good. Today the hot dishes on offer were roast lamb, roast pork, macaroni cheese, chicken curry, and baked potatoes. The hot dessert was apricot pie. This menu is typical; it varies daily.
