Interactive dining fun
January 14, 2009
Went to Inamo for lunch after planning to go for ages, and absolutely recommend the place. I couldn't get over the interactive touch screen tables, which as the reviewers below have explained, are where you look at the menu and order your food (eliminating the need for a waiter, but they're on hand if you have any questions). You can also play games, check out transport options and change the background of your table/computer screen. The food arrives exactly 15 minutes after you click your mouse, so the waitress suggested not ordering a starter and dessert at the same time, because they'd come together. The food was good - absolutely no complaints. I especially liked the chicken betel leaf starter dish.
For January and February, if you work in Soho, you get 30% off for lunch. Take a visiting card - and enjoy your dining experience (much more an experience than just a meal, I say!!)
Update, April 2009: I went a couple of times again - and I suppose I should have been more vigilant but I booked both times and mentioned clearly about being eligible for the 30% discount which they agreed to, but they charged me full price and I forgot to keep an eye on that bit when the bill came. When I emailed them, they didn't reply. So you'd be well warned to check your bill when you go. Sad, but there it is.
