Worth a visit

Bocca di Lupo came to my attention through a Guardian review, scoring 9 out of 10. It definitely delivers in terms of unusual, delicious, authentic Italian food and wine, available in ordinary portions or smaller tasting/sharing plates. Prices were pretty reasonable, though it all adds up if you have 5 or 6 little plates. The one minor fault I would note is the patronizing maitre d, who repeatedly called my client and me 'girls' and tiresomely mocked my request for decaf coffee. The food is truly lovely, though, and on balance, I would definitely recommend a visit.

Really interesting

We had lunch at Bocca di Lupo recently: couldn't get a booking but turned up early and got their last 2 stools at the bar. The food was great, we had the tapas style small servings, and they also had an interesting wine list. I think the really great thing about this restaurant is that it's gone off the beaten path of the "usual" Italian food. Most of the stuff on the menu you just couldn't find in most other Italian restaurants, so it keeps you engaged and interested during the meal. We'll definitely go again!
