Of all the new Mexican places near or on Goodge Street, I've come to the conclusion that Benito's Hat is the best.
Ordering is a bit overwhelming at times but there's pretty much always a quick moving queue and somewhere to sit. Staff are always jolly, friendly and patient with the indecisive.
The various taco/burrito meat fillings are uniformly gorgeous - though I usually just order the pork which is beautifully tender and flavoursome. The vegetarian filling is good too - with interesting textures and the inclusion of catus leaf.

The drinks are good too - amazing limeade.

There are always massive queues coming out of here so I thought I'd try it out for lunch. Didn't try the tacos but, The burritos are good, the salsa verde was yummy, but it is a lot of food and you might need to loosen the old belt buckle afterwards... Next time I might go for two tacos...

Apparently the margaritas are pretty good, but that might be a bit much at lunchtime ;) I reckon this would be a good place to stop for a quick meal before you went out.

Although if you're just after a takeaway lunch on a weekday, head over to the Freebird stall where you can get an equally good (some say better) burrito for 50p cheaper (the stall is next to Oxfam, a couple of doors down). Also, the guys at Freebird don't charge meat-eaters extra for guacamole, which Benitos Hat do - it's all about the stalls!
