Piegasm!

5.0 out of 5.0

December 28, 2009

Listen up, hungry humans of discerning taste! The Natural Kitchen has just fed me The Best (Vegetarian) Pie I've had yet in London: goopy and rich on the inside, crisp and flakey crust. I have no doubt I've just consumed a sizable quantity of butter to make it just that flakey and pastrylike. And I don't care.
The Medeterranean Veg pie had caramelized red onions, red peppers, visible rosemary leaves, and other yummy identifiable foods in a stewy tomato sauce. The goats cheese was the occasional streak of creaminess cutting the tomato, and overall, it was just very very very good.
So go forth and conquer, pielovers! Just be prepared to pay for the deliciousness: at £6/pie (eating out, more for mash with no vegetarian gravy option), this experience does not come cheap. But New Square is pretty, gets afternoon sunshine, and has an extremely striking living wall on a building. Go go go go!
