Rivington Place,designed by David Adjaye OBE, is in the heart of Shoreditch, East London. This RIBA award-winning building is dedicated to the display, debate and reflection of global diversity issues in the contemporary visual arts. Rivington Place opened in 2007 and is the first new-build public gallery in London since the Hayward Gallery opened 40 years earlier. An ongoing programme of exhibitions and events is produced and presented by Iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts) and Autograph ABP. The building houses two major project spaces, an education space, and the Stuart Hall Library.

The Global Street and the Long Term Project, a five-day workshop by award-winning photographer George Georgiou.

The workshop will help you consider the Global Street as a subject and concept for contemporary photographic practice with the specific focus of working towards a long term project. Incorporating practical tuition, assignments, group and individual feedback, the workshop will give participants the tools they need to embark on or continue a substantial body of work. The workshop will take place from Wednesday to Sunday (inclusive) and will culminate in a slideshow of work produced at the festival closing event on Sunday 17 July.
