The Halcyon Hotel occupies a prominent position within this imposing terrace, the oldest in Europe. On the slopes of the Calton Hill, following onto the Queens Park, the hotel is situated in the eastern side of New Town, only ten minutes walk from Princes Street, the Scottish Parliament, St James Centre, Meadow Bank and Waverley Station. The hotel has fourteen bedrooms, all en suite with tea/coffee, radio/intercom, central heating and a very large lounge with television and use of pleasant gardens.
