Borders may not be the quietest bookshop but it has a good selection of books, on a range of subjects of your choice. They also sell a range of music titles. They have a cafe serving a selection of sandwiches, snacks and drinks. An international delivery service is available as is a free gift wrapping service. They also sell gift vouchers in various denominations and warmly welcome accounts. This branch has a coffee shop on the premises and also provides a free wrapping and delivery service to customers in England.

Look I know that Borders are like the Starbucks of the book world but hear me out.

I'm 'freelance' which means that sometimes I work and sometimes I don't - the times that I'm not working are times of frugality - flask's of coffee when I leave the house and minimum extravagance is a must.

However how does someone of little or no means keep up to date with industry news (yes I HAVE heard of the internet) - well you head to Borders magazine section, pile up all the magazines that you can carry and head to the first floor coffee shop and read until your heart's content - seriously its allowed! This also works for books and on any day at any time there are hoards of students with piles of books that they can't afford writing their dissertation or whatever - honestly its all good.
